The upcoming June 11-12th will be the 3rd annual Pan-African Youth Summit in Dakar, Senegal. The summit will include several educational workshops and panel discussions from youth organizers and activists in West Africa. The two-day event is a tremendous educational opportunity for youth in the United States to discover more about the life experiences and culture of youth in West Africa.
The Senegalese hosts of the summit have graciously invited youth in the United States to attend and offered to help with housing and conference expenses there on the ground. However, the costs of a plane ticket to Dakar is exceptionally high. Nuway Learning is a non-profit organization in the United States dedicated to educating and empowering young people from underserved communities. We are hosting a grassroots fundraiser to send five youth to Dakar for the summit in June.
